Once more we are called on to tell of the sad story of the visit of the death angel, this time Grandfather Carver, father of Col. A.G. Carver, was called home. He had been with his son, George in Canadian, Texas for the past two months, but is quite well known here, had been making his home with the Colonel for the past three years. Although blind and with only one arm, he was the essence of patience, never complaining and always thankful for every little favor, ever seeing with his poor sightless eyes the silver lining.
George Carver and his son, Tom accompanied the remains to the old home in Kentucky, there be laid at rest beside the members of the family gone before.
