Pansy “Pat” Graham (Riley) of Half Moon Bay, CA, passed away peacefully in her home on December 28, 2015 at the age of 86.
Pansy was an avid reader, painter, feisty card player and Golden State Warriors and Oklahoma Thunder fan. She enjoyed exercising with her friends in the Rosen Class at Senior Coastsiders, going out for tea or lunch with friends.
She was born in Durham, Oklahoma during the depression and was raised on a farm. Pansy graduated from the Durham High Schoo,l attended Southwestern State University in Weatherford, OK, where she began a long and fulfilling teaching career. She taught many subjects, many grade levels in many states. She found her calling. Finally retiring at age 75 from the Briscoe, TX School District, Pansy moved to Half Moon Bay to be near her daughter and grandchildren and spent her last ten years feeling the love of her family and friends there.
She is survived by her daughter, Tena Bateman(Warren), grandchildren: Hill, Riley, Kayla and granddaughters-in-law Gabriella Bateman and Randi Racine.
Pansy was preceded in death by her parents, Alston and Pearl Riley.
Pansy will be returned to Durham, Oklahoma in the spring. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Fairview Cemetery in Durham, Oklahoma.
