Aubry Long Robertson was born December 30, 1913 to James Marshall and Tennie Owen Long. She departed this life August 14, 2010 at the age of 96 at the Bell Avenue Nursing Home in Elk City, Oklahoma.
Audrey gree up on the family farm 1 miled from Rhea, Oklahoma and attendedd Rhea School through the 8th grade.
Audrey married Floyd William Robertson on December 20, 1930 at Arapaho, Oklahoma. The couple made their home at the family farm 2 1/2 miles west of Rhea, Oklahoma. Audrey worked as a homemaker taking care of her family. She helped her husband raise cattle for milk, cream and meat; as well as chickens and hogs. The family also had crops of cotton, wheat and maize. In her spare time, Audrey enjoyed sewing, crocheing and quilting. Her greatest enjoyment however, came from special times shared with her grandchildren, nephews and nieces.
Their first daughter, Helen Mae, was born September 23, 1936. Their family was complete when Linda was born on June 14, 1940.
Audrey was baptized as a young adult and joined the Rhea Baptist Church. She was a faithful member who enjoyed helping with Vacation Bible School and the Women’s Missionary Union.
Audrey was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd; parents, James and Tennie Long; brothers, Walt Love, Dave Long, Olive Long and Ted Long; sisters, Lula Long, Edith Tullis and Helen Burford; sons-in-law, Len King, Dean Clark, Jr. and Reese Jameson. She is survived by her daughters, Helen Mae Smith of Wagoner, Oklahoma and Linda Jameson and husband Larry Fritz of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; sister, Jessie Kauk of Butler, Oklahoma; grandson, Mike Clark of Brokedn Arrow, Oklahoma; granddaughter, Jade Jameson McGlothlin of Edmond, Oklahom a; great-grandson, Parker McGlothlin of Edmond, Oklahoma; other family and many, many friends.
