WHITE, Ellen “Grandma”

It is with a feeling of sadness that we chronicle the death of Mrs. Ellen White, who died last Thursday night, November 16, 1916 at the home of her son’s, W.K. Nail, who lives three miles west of Crawford.
Grandma White was 76 years old at the time of her death. She was feeble,  yet cheerful bringing sunshine to those about her, and was loved by all who knew her.
When but a young girl she was converted and united with the Methodist Church and lived a consecrated Christian life to the end. Where there was suffering she was always ready to lend a helping hand, striving always to alleviate pain and offer words of consolation to the downhearted.
She leaves two children and a host of friends to mourn her loss.
Rev. W.B. Gilliam, pastor of the Methodist Church at this place conducted the funeral services. The Star waft condolences to the bereaved.
