Miss Alice Curtis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John F. Curtis, Cheyenne, died as a result of a complication of diseases last Monday, about 7:00. She was taken ill last November with typhoid fever, which later developed into other complications and her strength was continually being reduced until the end came. Her relatives and those acquainted with the seriousness of her condition were aware that medical aid only served to prolong death for a little while.
The funeral services were conducted by Rev. C.C. Wilson assisted by Rev. Wileman at the Baptist Church with burial in the Cheyenne Cemetery.
Alice was born Nov. 5, 1894 near Seadman in Calaway County, Missouri and died April 12, 1915, being twenty years, five months and seven days of age at the time of her death. She was converted in 1911 and at that time joined the Methodist Church of this city. And since that time, she has continually lived the life of a faithful follower of Christ.
To the bereaved friends and relatives who were made sad because of her death, we offer the condolation that, now, she has gone to rest serenely with the One that she followed so devotedly here; and that also we should remember that angels in Heaven rejoice at the transmigration of such a soul from this terrestrial sphere to that celestial home above.
