VOGLE, Virginia E.

Memorial services for Virginia E. Vogle, 93, of Chickasha, will be held Friday, March 20, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. in the First Christian Church with Michael Oberlender officiating.
Virginia E Vogle was born February 14, 1922 in Berlin, Oklahoma, the daughter of George and Marina (Green) Sollers. She died Tuesday, March 17, 2015 in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
Virginia grew up and attended school in Berlin, graduating from Berlin High School in 1940.
On September 28, 1940, she married Ozell Neal in Sayre, Oklahoma. They operated a grocery store and service station for a couple of years. Then they owned and operated AAA Root Beer Stand in Elk City. For many years of her life, Virginia helped her husband on the farm and raised her children.
After Ozell’s death in 1965, she attended college at Sayre and later OCLA, which is now USAO, graduating in 1971. She taught elementary school for many years at Friend Public Schools.
She married Dan Vogle in August of 1966.
Virginia was a member of the First Christian Church, serving as an Elder and singing in the choir She enjoyed trout fishing and playing Bridge. She also was a Sooner football fan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, six brothers, and four sisters.
Survivors are her sons and daughter-in-law, Leo ad Sherry Neal of Lawton and Jerry and Tammy Neal of Atlanta, Georgia; four grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, as well as extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to Operation Christmas Child, c/o First Baptist Church, 501 SW A Ave., Lawton, OK 73501
Interment will be at Berlin Cemetery in Berlin, Oklahoma at a later date.
Services and cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
