Graveside services for Lillie Darby will be conducted Friday, March 2, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. from the Red Hill Cemetery with Kenneth Gamble and Winston Curtis officiating. Interment will be under the direction of the Martin Funeral Home of Elk City.
Lillie L. Darby was born July 11, 1933 at Hammon, OK to Lavell and Cecilia (Dunn) Henderson and passed away Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at the age of 78. She attended Hammon Schools before moving to Grans, New Mexico where she was a bookkeeper and accountant. She was married to Jesse J. Darby and they returned to Hammon in 1986 where she has lived since. Lillie was a homemaker and loved to raise poodles. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hammon and was preceded in death by her parenbts and a son.
Survivors include her husband: Jesse Darby of the home, 2 children, Pauline Noblitt of Hemet, CA, Robert Henderson of Mt. Home, Arkansas, 7 stepchildren and a granddaughter, Danielle Woodward of Albuquerque, NM. An onlinre registry is available at www.martinfhok.com
