“The Creator sent an angel, to dwell on earth one day
But without her Heaven was lonely, So He sent and took her away.”
Shrouded in her robes immaculate, asleep beneath a wilderness of fragrant blossoms that would fain kiss her eyelids back to awawkening, Jessie, the infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Hartnett was laid by loving hands on her last early couch in the Fairview Cemetery May 8th, 1912. The parents have the sympathy of many neighbors and friends in this their bereavement.
“Softly the stars are gleaming, Upon a silent grave,
There sleepth without dreaming, One we loved but could not save
Sweet and peaceful by thy rest, God called you, He alone knows best. E.M.B.
