James Dillard Wheeler of Reydon died Monday December 3, 1973 in his home suddenly. Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Reydon Community Building with Rev. Warren Norris officiating.
Burial will be in the White Rose Cemetery, Reyon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.
He was born June 28, 1925 at Rankin. He was married to Dorothy Crockett at Pampa, Tex. He was in the U.S. Marines and lived in Roger Mills County most of his life. He was a veteran of WW II and served on Okinawa during WW II. He reaised quarter horses.
Survivors are three daughters, Wilma Jane Wheeler of muskogee, Elsie Boyer of Cheyenne and Beverly Ann Wheeler of reydon; 1 son, James Rodney of reydon, 6 sisters, Mrs. Laverna Doorack of St. Louis, MO., Mrs. Pauline Mills of St. Louis, Mo., Mrs. Wilma Voss and Mrs. Elsie McCoy, both of Albuquerquw, NM, Mrs. Mary Lea Cole of Wheeler, Tex., and Mrs. Ruth Coopine of Hosmer, S.D.; 1 brother, Robert of Choctaw.
Pallbearers will be Carl Parman, Tony Yowell, J.G. Taylor, Melvin Brinkly, M.J. Owen, Sam Barnard.
Scroggins and Son is in charge of arrangements.
