Easter Lily Bingham was born on Easter Sunday, April 8, 1917 in Elk City, Oklahoma to Elwilda and Jacob Bachmann. She passed away February 27, 2012 in Anderson, California at the age of 94.
Easter grew up in the Durham, Oklahoma community where she attended school and graduated with the Class of 1938. She was a member of the Durham basketball team and enjoyed sports. Easter married Jack Bingham and had two sons Jack Jr. and Jim. They made their home in Durham and were members of the Durham Baptist Church. They moved their family to California in 1948.
Easter is preceded in death by her husband, parents; 3 brothers, Robert, Dan and Jacob Bachmann; 5 sisters, Daisy Kimball, Lena Hawkins, Pearl Riley, Frances Ramsey and Barbara Bachmann.
She is survived by her 2 sons Jack Bingham of Petaluma, California and Jim Bingham and wife Karen of Dunnellon, Florida; 3 grandchildren, Jay Bingham and wife, Candi of Valley Springs, California, Amy Cleveland and Steven Bingham of Beaverton, Oregon; 3 great grandchildren, Kyle Cleveland, Caleb Cleveland and Mariah Cleveland and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held at Fairview Cemetery in Durham, Oklahoma at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, March 8 under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service Cheyenne, Oklahoma. Condolence can be made online at www.whineryfs.com
