Boulware, Dorothy Ellen Fish

Funeral services for Dorothy Ellen Boulware will be conducted Saturday, March 17, 2012 sat 10:00 a.m. from the Martin Funeral Chapel of Elk City, OK with Jimmy Blanken officiating. Interment will be in the Red Hill Cemetery of Hammon, OK under the direction of the Martin Funeral Home.
Dorothy Ellen Boulware was born February 20, 1920 to James Alfred and Virginia (Powell) Fish in Lindsey, OK, and passed away March 7, 2012 in Pahrump NV at the age of 92. Dorthy attended school and was raised in the Hammon, OK area. She married Kenneth Boulware on January 15, 1938, and they later moved to California where they made their home. Together Kenneth and Dorothy raised two girls. Although they lived in California, Dorothy always considered Oklahoma home. Dorothy would make an annual trip to Oklahoma to visit family and she enjoyed it very greatly. Dorothy loved to travel and liked to include her family on trips. She was a hairdresser for a few years and took great pride in her work. Dorothy loved music and would often sing while she worked. She was an excellent cook and rarely needed a recipe. Dorothy loved her family and spent significant time with her grandchildren whom she loved dearly.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Kenneth, seven brothers, and six sisters.
Survivors include two daughters; Doretta Huschmidt and Laconia Anderson of Pahrump, NV, 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.
