Briggs, Mr.

Word was received here Tuesday morning that Mrs. Briggs’ husband had died Monday night. Mrs. Briggs is the Home Economics instructor in the Cheyenne High School and had been at the bedside of her husband since the beginning of the holiday vacation period. The sympathy of her many friends in Cheyenne goes out to her in this sorrow.
The death of Mr. Briggs came as the result of an accident sustained exactly eleven months ago at the time of his death. At that time he was superintendent of the school at Marshall, Oklahoma and he and Mrs. Briggbs were returning from the State Teachers’ Association of Oklahoma City when their car collided with a truck near Guthrie. Both wedre injured seriously, but Mrs. Briggs recovered sufficient to have his leg ampuytated about the first of the year, but hew grew steadily worse until he succumbed Monday night.
Mr. Briggs was a brother of Mrs. Oaks who is thed mother of Mrs. Alvin Moore of this city. Both Mrs. Moore and Mrs. Oaks left Tuesday for Stillwater to attend the funeral.
Although Mr. Briggs was not known here, friends of his relatives had become greatly interested in his recovery.
