BROWN, Fannie (Sing)
 
Mrs. Fannie Sing Brown was
born March 17, 1879 at Langtown, Mississippi, the daughter of John H. Sing and
departed this life October 6, 1947 at 1:30 p.m. in the Tisdale Hospital, Elk
City,
Oklahoma at the age of 68 years, six months, twenty days. She had been
ill for the past two years.
Mrs. Brown was married July
2, 1897 to Billie Brown, Sr. Cheyenne and to this union was born four sons:
Warren Othello, preceded her in death in 1922 at the age of five months.
She
had lived in her home near Strong City for the past fifty years and was loved
and respected in the community. She was a good mother and took the welfare of
her children
above everything else as far as this life was concerned.
She was a member of the
Strong City Baptist Church and will be missed greatly by the membership. She
had no fear of death and was submissive to the will of God, and greatly
concerned for those of her loved ones and friends who did not know her Savior.
Mrs. Brown leaves to mourn
her departure her husband, Billie Brown, Sr., three sons: Johnny and Billie of
Strong City and Lance of Cheyenne; one brother, J.J. Sing of Cheyenne,
three
sisters: Mrs. Sally Graham of Oklahoma City, Mrs. Martha Hay of Strong City and
Mrs. Willie Hall of Vancouver, Washington and seven grandchildren besides a host
of
other relatives and friends.
She is buried in the Strong
City Cemetery.
