CANTRELL, Ora

Orville Barker and Miss Ora Cantrell went out riding last Wednesday evening, March 22, 1922. They had no lights on the car and when going down a steep hill, the car ran off an embankment, turning over on the occupants. It is thought the young lady was killed instantly as the body was cold when found. The young man was caught under the car in such a manner that he was unable to move, and it was some time before anyone passed so that help was secured He is in a very critical condition with but little hopes of recovery.
The  young lady was twenty-one years of age and with her parents had recently moved to Rankin from near Strong City. She was buried in the Rankin Cemetery.
LATER: We learned that Barker is recovering though seriously injured.
