Robyn Lynn Carpenter, 58 of Okarche, Oklahoma was born on March 4, 1958 in Ames, Iowa. She is the daughter of Kenneth L. and Judy Ann (Madsen) Gammon. Robyn passed away on Friday, June 10, 2016 surrounded by her loved ones after a long battle with cancer at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
She married her best friend and sweetheart, Russell William Carpenter on February 19, 1983 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Robyn enjoyed traveling, collecting rustic things, old household items, old knick knack items and antiques, her house was full of the most interesting items. She loved playing with her kids and grandkids most of all and never missed an opportunity to spend time with her family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 16, 2016 at the Piedmont First United Methodist Church, 2525 Piedmont Road North, Piedmont, Oklahoma. Visitation will be held from 8:00 a.m to 10:55 a.m. on Thursday at the church. Interment will be held at 3:30 p.m., Thursday, June 16, 2016 at Kiowa Cemetery in Roger Mills County, Oklahoma. Services have been entrusted to the care of Martin-Dugger Funeral Home in Elk City, Oklahoma.
Robyn is survived by her husband, Russell Carpenter of Okarche, Oklahoma; two sons, Caleb Carpenter and his wife, Courtney of Okarche, Oklahoma; Colton Carpenter and his wife, Brittany of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Cam Carpenter and Calan Carpenter, both of Okarche, Oklahoma; parents, Kenneth and Judy Gammon of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one sister, Wendy Pearson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; five brothers-in-law and five sisters-in–law; numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by one brother-in-law, Mark Sullivan.
