TIMMS, Burl Edward

Burl Edward Timms, 82, of Elk City, Oklahoma was born on May 14, 1934 in Frederick, Oklahoma. He is the son of Clifford Harrison Timms, Sr. and Margaret Louise (Williford) Timms. Burl went to be with his Heavenly Father on June 1, 2016 at his home in Elk City, Oklahoma.
He enjoyed working, restoring old cars, checking his cattle and his visits with friends. Burl was so proud of Camp Hope and watching kids grow in the Lord.
Burl married Helen R. Malson in 1955 in Dallas, Texas and to this union three children were born, Edward Timms, Ann Silvers and Bonnie Hagemann. He then married his best friend Judith Glennell Stevens-House on July 2, 1990 in Wheeler, Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, June 6, 2016 at the Grandview Church in Elk City, Oklahoma. Interment will be at Fairlawn Cemetery in Elk City, Oklahoma. Pastor Mark Little will officiate. He will be assisted by Dolan Ivey and Curtis Ivey. Services have been entrusted to the care of Martin-Dugger Funeral Home in Elk City, Oklahoma.
Burl is survived by his wife, Judy Timms of twenty-five years; three sons, Edward Timms of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Buddy Lynn House of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Tommy Steven House of Lookeba, Oklahoma; two daughters, Ann Silvers of Guthrie, Oklahoma and Bonnie Hagemann of Kearney, Missouri; eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Margaret Timms; one daughter, Anita Dawn Timms; two brothers, Roy Wayne Timms and Clifford Harrison Timms, Jr. and one sister, Wanda Colleen Ogden.
