DICKASON, Rex

Rex Dickason was born February 23, 1923 on the family farm near Roll, Oklahoma to Mae Anna and Edward Francis Dickason. He passed away December 16, 2012 at Clinton, Oklahoma at the age of 89 years, 9 months and 23 days.
Rex grew up in the Roll area and played basketball and ran track in high school. Shortly after graduation he was married to Eva June (Beavin) Dickason at Cheyenne, Oklahoma on June 27, 1942. Rex began aircraft into the United States Navy and servedc during World War II stateside and was stationed at the naval base in San Diego. After his discharge, he returned to the family farm where he ownedc and operated his own dairy and did carpentry for others in the community. Rex enjoyed antique cars, hunting and traveling. He was also a member of the Cheyenne United Methodist Church.
Hr was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother.
He is survived by his wife, Eva June; son, Harold Dickason and wife, Pat, Amarillo, TX; daughter, Tammy Ranea Mikles and husband, Sonny, Atlanta, GA; 3 grandchildren, Greg, Riley and Paige, numerous great grandchildren, an a host of other relatives and friends.
Services will be held Wednedsday, December 19, 20122 at 11:30 am at Cheyenne Methodist Church officiated by Rev. Greg Keith under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service. Cheyenne. Condolences can be made online at www.whineryfs.com
