Mrs. R.M. Harper of Oklahoma City, daughter of A.F. Pierce, died last Thursday, December 14, 1916 at Oklahoma City of tuberculosis.
Mrs. Harper has been suffering from this dread disease for several months, slowly getting weaker, thus becoming less able to withstand the ravages of the malady that was causing her to waste away.
Most of her youthful days were spent in our little city. She attended our schools and won the love and respect of all who know her. She was an active church worker, having become a member of the Baptist Church at this place during her early life, and lived a consecrated life ever since.
To the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harper came a little daughter about eighteen months ago.
The remains were brought here and laid to rest in the Cheyenne Cemetery, Saturday afternoon. Funeral services were conducted at the Baptist Church by Rev. J.M. Wileman.
