Services for Marion Pierce Marshall, 68, of Tyler Texas was held Thursday, January 6, 2011 at the Friends Baptist Church with Rev. Dale Perry and Rev. Pat Alvery officiating. Interment followed in the Tyler Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home.
A worshipper of the one true God, a lover of His living Word and an obedient servant of the Lord Jesus Christ, Marion went to her heavenly reward, January 3, 2011.
Marion, the daughter of Alfred Bogges and the former Ruby Dodson, of Cheyenne, Oklahoma was born in Elk City, Oklahoma on May 29, 1942.
A genuine Proverbs 31 woman, Marion was a faithful wife and devoted mother, who fought the good fight, finished the race and kept the faith. Henceforth, according to God’s Word in II Timothy 4:9, there is laid up for her a crown of righteous which shall be given to her on that day.
She is survived by her loving family including her husband, Windel Marshall; daughter, Tama Threlkeld; sons, Dr. Steve Pierce and wife Laura, David Pierce and wife Lori, and Jason Pierce; stepdaughters, Winde Marshall, Mande Young and husband Tim, and Misty Miller and husband Mark. Marion is also survived by her mother; brothers, Bill Bogges and wife Kathryn, Bob Bogges and wife Linda and Don Bogges and wife Nancy; sister, Judy Jones; grandchildren, Lauren Dillard, Brett McIntire, Brandon Threlkeld, Elizabeth Pierce, Robert Pierce, Garrett Pierce, Caleb Pierce, Keston Pierce and Gavyn Pierce; step grandchildren, Chloe Young, Cade Young and Evan Miller.
Martion was a faithful member of Friends Baptist Church who loved to go soul-winning on Tuesday nights, was a regular at Bible Study fellowship, was a regular at “Drill Sergeant” when it came to scipture memorization and was tireless in seeking after the things of God.
