Funeral services for Orvilla Redd-Ross will be conducted today, September 6, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. from the Martin Funeral Chapel of Elk City OK with Danny Ringer officiating. Interment will be in the Red Hill Cemetery of Hammon OK under the direction of the Martin Funeral Home.
Orvilla Marie Redd-Ross was born Sept. 2, 1950 in Hammon OK to Leslie Clayton and Ida Marie (Smith) Dykes and passed away Sunday Sept. 2, 2012 in Oklahoma City OK at the age of 62. She was raised in the Hammon community and graduated from Hammon School. Orvilla raised 2 daughters and one son. She loved following her kids with all their sports activities. She loved music and dance, but most of all she loved to laugh! Orvilla had a lengthy career with the Sherman Hume Agency as an insurance agent in Oklahoma City. She married Russell Ross in Arkansas on Nov. 6, 1995 and they have made their home in Oklahoma City area.
Orvilla was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers, 1 sister, and a daughter Sirena Redd-Hedrick.
She is survived by: her husband Russell Ross of Oklahoma City, one daughter Tisha Butler and her husband Chad of Yukon, OK, one son Josh Redd and his finance’ Kellie McKenzie of Oklahoma City, her Bonus children; Angela Dean of Guthrie OK, Jennifer Johnson of Lone Grove OK, and Sarah Ross of Oklahoma City, and so many more bonus kids and you know who you are, 11 grandchildren, Sarah Jane Raintree, Harlie Kaye Arthur, Seth Michael Dean, Madison Rose Dean, Brianna Melinda Johnson, Brett Allen Becker, Teagan Paige Johnson, Ethan Riley Butler, Nikole Ray Butler, Natalee Paige Doxey, Grace Logan Mckenzie and a great grandchild Peyton Nivole Mckenzie.
