Betty Ellen Watson was born Fenruary 16, 1943 in Elk City, Oklahoma to Nena Gertrude (Lucas) and Johnny Amos Cannon. She passed away January 10, 2014 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 70 years, 10 months and 24 days.
Betty grew up in the Crawford community and graduated from Cheyenne High School in 1961. She later graduated from Amarillo Beauty College and returned to Cheyenne where she began working as a beautician. She was married to Terry Watson at Cheyenne, Oklahoma on July 12, 1963. They lived in Cheyenne before moving to Durham to make their home. Betty owned and operated beauty shop for a number of years and later built the #1 Okie restaurant in 1982 and operated it until 2005. They retired back to the farm and she continued her painting, bowling, playing cards and sewing.
She was a memberr of the Durham Baptst Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband, Terry, daughter, Wendy Chapman, Durham, OK; son, Doug Watson and wife, Kelahn, Durham, OK, 1 brother, Bob Cannoin and wife, Anita, Crawford, OK; 6 grandchildren, host of other reatives and friends.
