Carl Allen of Amarillo, Texas was born November 23, 1938 and passed away January 21, 2015 at the age of 76.
Carl was born in Greer County, Oklahoma to Fred and Ora Allen. He was raised in Crawford, Oklahoma, where he graduated from Crawford High School in 1957. He married Fredia Young on March 23, 1957. Carl worked as a pharmaceutical representative and as a toy maker for most of his life. He was known to be intelligent and was a great source of wisdom to those who knew him. He was the one in the family who held everyone together and always kept them connected. Carl’s friends and family would say he will be remembered as being ornery and quite the storyteller.
Carl was preceded in death by two brothers, Ormand and Norman Allen.
Carl is survived by his wife, Fredia Allen of Amarillo, Texas; two daughters, Teresa Banks and husband Jeff of Houston, Texas and Sheila Kight of Canton Oklahoma; three brothers, Robert Allen of Clinton, Oklahoma, Lynn Allen of Dill City, Oklahoma and Fred Allen, Jr. and wife June of Cheyenne, Oklahoma and two grandsons, Cody and Keelor Kight of Canyon, Texas.
Services were held Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Faith Southwest United Methodist Church with Pastor Jerry Raab officiating. Burial was at Silent Home Cemetery in Roll, Oklahoma.
