Anderson, Ila “Ollie” Younger Markley

Ila “Ollie” Markley Anderson was born August 17, 1915 in Allen, Oklahoma to Lula Mae and Adolphus Doyle Younger. She passed away June 15, 2011 at Amarillo, Texas at the age of 95 years, 9 months and 28 days.
Ila moved with her parents at the age of 12 by wagon to Erick, Oklahoma. After pulling cotton in the fall they moved to the Sunny Poin community where she attended school. They moved to the Club Lake community, north of Sweetwater, where she mret and married John Ivan Markley in 1932. Ivan passed in December of 1958. She was married to Garnett Melton Anderson at Cordell, Oklahoima on December 21, 1962 and they lived in the Sweetwater community. Garnett passed away in August of 1982. She continued to live in Sweetwater until 2007 when she moved with her deaughter, Norma, to Bushland, Texas.
She was a member of the Sweetwater Assembly of God Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, 1 son, Virgil Markley, 1 grandson, Dean Jefcoat, 6 sisters and 2 brothers.
She is survived by her 2 Daughters, Norman Zellmer, Bushland, Texas; Wanda Martin, Ponca City, Oklahoma; 1 Step Son, Hershel Anderson and wife, Betty, Sweetwater, Oklahoma; 1 Brother, Herbert Younger, Riverside, California; 7 grandchildren , Sandy Williams and husband, Eddie, Kay Strange and husband, Mark, Sheila Wynn and husbanda, Mickey, Pat Anderson and wife, Teresa, John Anderson and wife, Margie, Kathy Martin, 16 Great grandchildren, 17 Great Grandchildren, Special Friend, Steve Moore, Red Oak, Texas; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services were held Saturday June 18, 2011 at 10:30 am at Sweetwater Assembly of God officiated by J.M. Ashley and Sherman Eastland.
Burial was at Mulberry Cemetery, Sweetwater, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service. Condolences can be made online at www.whineryfs.com
