J.H. Anderson was born August 7, 1928 in Sweetwater, Oklahoma to Edna and Garnett Milton Anderson. He passed away February 23, 2015 at Sweetwater, Oklahoma at the age of 86 years, six months and sixteen days.
J.H. graduated from Sweetwater School in 1946. He was married to Betty Jean Barham at Sweetwater, Oklahoma on September 23, 1949. They remained in the Sweetwater community until 1958 when they moved to Boys Ranch in Texas and he worked as a cook while Betty taught school. In 1960 they returned to Oklahoma to make their home south of Sweetwater where J.H. farmed until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, working with his bird dogs and playing dominoes.
He was preceded in death by his parents, stepmother, Ila Anderson and a brother, Alton Anderson
He is survived by his wife, Betty of the home: three sons, Pat Anderson and wife, Debbie, Sweetwater, OK; Larry Anderson and wife, Threase, Grove, OK and John Anderson and wife, Margie, Sweetwater, OK; a stepsister, Norma Zellmer, Bushland, TX; eight grandchildren and their families, sixteen great grandchildren; a first cousin, Hansford Jenkins and wife, Almeda, Kingston, OK and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 in the First Baptist Church, Sweetwater, OK at 10:30 a.m. Burial in the Mulberry Cemetery north of Sweetwater, OK will follow.
