Arnetta June Andris, 91, of Wichita Falls, Texas was born on June 1, 1924 in Elk City, Oklahoma. She is the daughter of Harlan Abraham and Thelma (Farmer) Thomas. June went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at the House of Hope in Wichita Falls, Texas.
June married Joseph A. Andris, Jr. on Februray 26, 1944 in Sayre, Oklahoma. Joe preceded her in death on May 18, 2002.
She enjoyed oil painting, sewing, cooking, playing cards and dominoes, going to basketball games. Often times if something wasn’t work, June turned it into work. June never just worked to work, it was always about helping others. Most of all June enjoyed spending time with her friends and family.
June was a member of the Sandstone Home Demonstration Club and the United Methodist Church in Elk City, Oklahoma.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 25, 2016 at Martin-Dugger Funeral Home in Elk City, Oklahoma. Rev. Terry Koehn will officiate. Interment will be at Red Hill Cemetery in Hammon, Oklahoma. Services have been entrusted to the care of Martin-Dugger Funeral Home in Elk City, Oklahoma.
June is survived by one daughter, Sallie Deges and her husband, Elmer of Wichita Falls, Texas, one son, Tom Andris and his wife, Shirley of Bluejacket, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Chris Deges and his wife, Alicia of Wichita Falls, Texas, Anita Wilson and her husband, Aren of Yukon, Oklahoma, Tim Andris and his wife, Mandy of Bluejacket, Oklahoma and Andy Andris and his wife, Heather of Claremore, Oklahoma; ten great-grandchildren; and three sisters-in-law, Donna Thomas of Delaware, Oklahoma, Marketa Andris of Neosho, Missouri and Kay Wormington of Jackson, Missouri.
She is preceded in death by husband, Joe Andris; parents, Harlan and Thelma Thomas; brother, Billy Joe.
