BAKER, Iris Lee (Davie)

Iris Lee Baker was born December 8, 1955 in Clinton, Oklahoma to Essie and Jack Davie. She passed away July 2, 2015 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 59 years, six months and 24 days.
Iris lived in Clinton until moving to Reydon, Oklahoma with her family. She attended school at Reydon until she married Guy Clark Baker at Wheeler, Texas on July 14, 1972. They moved to Sayre, Oklahoma where she graduated from high school in 1974. They later moved to Ulysses, Kansas where their sons, Brice and Brent were born before moving to Cheyenne, Wyoming. The family returned to Oklahoma in 1980. They lived in Durham, Oklahoma where their third son, Blake, was born and in 1988 they moved to Cheyenne. They remained there until 2001 when they moved to Leedey, Oklahoma to make their home. In 1982, she started her career with Security State Bank where she began in bookkeeping and progressed through different positions until reaching her current title of Cashier/Assistant Vice President. Iris loved spending time with her family and enjoyed following her sons and grandchildren in their sports activities. She also enjoyed sewing and reading.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Davie, a sister-in-law Peggy Burks and father-in-law Guy P. Baker.
Iris is survived by her husband of almost 43 years, Guy Baker, of the home; three sons, Brent Lee Baker and wife, Nicole, Edmond, OK; Brice Donal Baker and wife, Jennifer, Hammon, OK; Blake Guy Baker, Elk City, OK; five grandchildren, Avery, Garrett, Jake, Jacee, Allee, her mother and stepfather, Essie and Tom Raff, Crawford, OK; a sister, Teresa Walker, Durham, OK; a brother, Doug Davie and wife, Tammy, Sayre, OK; her mother-in-law, Thelma Baker, Crawford, OK; three sisters-in-law, Jackie Martin, Cheyenne, OK and Wilma Moler, Cheyenne, OK, Patty Wright, Reydon, OK and a host of other relatives and friends.
