Ruby Beutler was born February 29, 1940 in Texola, Oklahoma to Grace and Carl Odom. She passed away April 13, 2016 at Elk City, Oklahoma at the age of 76 years, 1 month and 14 days.

Ruby grew up in the Texola community and attended school at Sweetwater. In 1957 she moved to Cheyenne, Oklahoma and was married to Alvie Joe Reed in Wheeler, Texas on April 5, 1958. They lived in Cheyenne before moving to Colorado where they worked on a ranch for a short time. In 1961 they moved to Elk City, Oklahoma to make their home. In 1975 they started Al Reed Diesel Service on Merrit Road and she later owned and operated Daylight Donuts from 1989 to 1996. She was married to Alan Beutler at Cordell, Oklahoma on November 1, 1999 and they made their home in the Carpenter community. They worked together in the Rodeo circuit until she retired in 2004. Ruby loved fishing and also enjoyed watching western shows on TV, playing bingo, traveling to Las Vegas and collecting dolls and other items.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 sisters.

She is survived by her husband, Alan Beutler, 3 daughters, Donna Pitts and husband, Gary, Elk City, OK, Cindy Copeland, Kennedale, TX, Karen Bardwell, Elk City, OK; 1 sister, Barbara Cummings, Erick, OK; 1 brother, Winford Odom, Erick, OK; grandchildren, Amanda Thompson, Arlington, TX, Jeff Rios, Craig, CO, Andy Pugh, Matthew Pugh, Arlington, TX, Jaclyn Garrett, Houston, TX, Kristy Chilcoat, Brandon Bardwell, Elk City, OK, Caleb Thompson, Arlington, TX, Nicoli Rios, Craig, CO, Brett Pugh, Arlington, TX; and Zakary Russell, Adalyn Rivera, Houston, TX, Jayden Boyett, Elk City, OK; a stepson, Russell J. Penturf, Dallas, OR; 3stepgrandchildren, Jerrod Penturf, Pendleton, OR, Loraina Penturf, Dallas, OR and Grady Penturf, Portland, OR and host of other relatives and friends.
