James “Jim” Lester Bradshaw, of McKinney, Texas passed away on January 6, 2011. Jim was born August 13, 1924, in Cheyenne, Oklahoma to James Monroe and Mary (Bolt) Bradshaw. On April 11, 1953 he married Doris Bottom, in Cheyenne, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death in 1995. Jim proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. He was an active member of the First Baptist Church in McKinney, Texas. Jim was a past president of the McKinney Kiwanis Club, and served as a councilman for the City of McKinney. He was a banker in McKinney for many years. He is survived by his children, Rick Bradshaw of Fort Worth, Texas, Bill Bradshaw and wife Donna of McKinney, Texas, Don Bradshaw and wife, Lorie of Elk City, Oklahoma, Agnes Nicely and husband Jim of Allen, Texas, Sue Wilson and husband Danny of Allen, Texas; nineteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; sister, Billie Fern Rush of Odessa, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. Jim was proceded in death by his parents, wife, three brothedrs, and two sisters.
Services were held Saturday, January 8, 2011 at the First Baptist Church of McKinney, Texas.
