Braziel, Richard Haden

Richard Haden Braziel, age 74, died Saturday, September 11, 2010, in Wichita Falls, Texas. Celebration of life services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Hollinshead, pastor of the First Christian Church of Quanah, officiating.
Mr. Braziel was born June 16, 1936, in Chillicothe, Texas, son of the late Cletus Haden and Zadie Lee (Green) Braziel. He was a lifetime resident of Hardenman County. He was a 1954 graduate of Quanah High School, and received his B.A. Degree from Midwestern University graduating in 1958. He was a retired accountant for Southern Cotton Oil Co. and was a former bookkeeper for the Hardeman County Justice of the Peace Office.
He was a member of the Hardeman County Hospital Board, and a former memer of the Quananah Municipal Airport. He was a pasrt member of the Quanah Chamber of Commerce, and was a past president and member of the Quanah Historial Society.
He is survived by three sons, Haden Braziel of Quanah, Rodney Young of Quanah, and Kevin Young of Vernon, one sister, Rosemary Davidson of Quanah, and six grandchildren He is preceded in death by one brother, W.R. (Sonny) Braziel.
The family suggest memorials be made to any educational funds, Hospice of Wichita Falls, or Quanah Historical Society.
