CARTER, Binnie Kay

Binnie Kay Carter was born April 17, 1942 in Sayre, Oklahoma to Alice and Ben Carnes. She passed away May 7, 2015 at Sayre, Oklahoma at the age of 73 years and twenty days.
She moved with her family to Arkansas for a short time before returning to Sayre to make her home. She was married to Bobby Carter at Mangum, Oklahoma on May 4, 1962 and made their home in Sayre. Binnie Kay attended nursing school at Burns Flat and graduated as a LPN in 1975. She was employed with Dr. McCall, Grace Living Center in Mangum, the Erick Nursing Home and Bell Avenue Nursing Home until she joined the staff at Sayre Memorial Hospital, retiring in 2013. Her specialty was Geriatrics and she loved working with her senior aged patients. She cared so much for those in her care that she would go to work even when she was sick. Binnie Kay was also employed as an Administrative Assistant with Simons Petroleum for seventeen years. She loved animals, spending time at the lake and going on trips with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, Ben Carter and a son-in-law, James Rogers. She is survived by her husband, Bobby of the home; her children, Darren Carter and wife, Michelle, Sayre, OK; Jonni Patrick and husband, Curt, Cheyenne, OK; Stacie Reid and husband, Dan, Dalton, TN and Kirby Carter and wife, Shonda, Sayre, OK; 11 grandchildren, Katie, Abbie, Catherine, Ondrea, Richard, Gabriel, Jon Luke, Emily, Eli, Kyle and Holly, 11 great grandchildren, three sisters, Marilyn Murphy and husband Lomax, Ninety Six, SC, Ramona Robinson, Hannibal, MO and Tina Crabb and husband, Joe, Strawm, Tx; two brothers, Stanley Carnes and wife, Guyla, Mustang, OK and Robbie Carnes and wife, Lisa Houston, TX and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services will be held May 11, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Sayre First Baptist Church officiated by Rusty McMullen. Condolences can be made online at www.whineryfs.com
