Ross Conrad, Jr., 80, passed away Saturday, November 27, 2010, surrounded by his family. Memorial services were held Wednesday, December 15 in Wade Family Funeral Home Chapel, Arlington, Texas with interment in the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas, Texas. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Ross’ name may be made to Community Hospice of Texas, 6100 Western Place, Suite 500, Fort Worth, Texas 76107.
Ross was born March 23, 1930, in Cheyenne, Oklahoma to Viola E. and Ross O. Conrad. He graduated from Oklahoma State University with a B.S. in electric engineering after proudly serving with the U.S. Air Force in the Korean War, Ross’ career as an aeronautical and electrical engineer spanned 30 years, and he retired in 1988 from LTV.
Ross was preceded in death by his mother, father and brother, Charles Conrad.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Mary Ann Conrad; daughter, Diane England and husband, Kevin; daughter Karen Conrad, granddaughter, Alexandra England; and stepsisters, Mary Anne Giles, Billey Roberts and Ruth Fisher.
