Mary Coots was born July 20, 1954 in Mangum, Oklahoma to Jewell and V.O. “Buster” Sumpter. She passed away October 17, 2007 at Lawton, Oklahoma at the age of 53 years, 2 months and 27 days.
Mary grew up in Reydon where she attended school. She was married to Farrel Lynn Coots at Wheeler, Texas on January 29, 1971. Mary and Farrel stayed in the Reydon community until the early 90’s when they moved to Aloabama and later to Hollis, Oklahoma to make their home. Mary enjoyed reading, crocheting, playing the piano and organ and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
She is survived by her huband, Farrel, of the home; 5 children, Cherie Cantu, Hollis, Oklkahoma, Justin Coots and wife, Beverly, El Reno, Oklahoma, Amanda Coots, of the home, Lindsay Lara and husband, Sm, Fallbrook, California and Alisha Mendoza and husband, Ivan, Jewett, Texas; 9 grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside services were held Friday October 29, 2007 at White Rose Cemetery, Reydon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma. Rev. Joe Cantu officiated with interment in the White Rose cemetery.
