The following newspaper clipping was received by the Star editor announcing the death of Hezzie Cox, formerly a resident of this city:
As a result of the bursting of a blood vessel, presumably caused by the exertion of carrying a small sack of potatoes, Hezzie, the 19 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. D.J. Cox passed away suddenly at 6 p.m. Monday at the ranch home of the parents in Chiracahua mountains. The body was brought here for interment, being accompanied by Mr. Cox and L.A. and W.A. Glenn, neighbors.
Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 2:30 o’clock from the chapel of the Ferguson Undertaking establishment, being conducted by the Rev. Hubert L. Sparks, pastor of the First Baptist Church.
The young man is survived by his parents, one brother and seven sisters.
