CROOK, Jr., C.B.

C.B. Crook, Jr. was born February 27, 1926 in Sayre, Oklahoma to Ima Pearl and Charlie Brookover Crook. He passed away July 3, 2012 at Amarillo, Texas at the age of 86 years, 4 months and 6 days.
C.B. grew up in the Mayfield community and during high school years he was drafted and served his countrey during World War II. He received his graduation diploma in 2001 from Sweetwater High School. After his discharge he returned to Mayfield where he was married to Ola Mae Nutt at Erick, Oklahoma on February 1, 1950. They lived in Erick, Panhandle and Amarillo, Texas before moving back southeast of Sweetwater to make their home. C.B., farmed, ranched and welded.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother, James Richard Crook.
He is survived by his wife, Ola Mae; of the home; 4 sons, Richard Dale Crook and wife, Jan, Sweetwater, OK, Billy Ray Crook and wife, Mary, Pampa, TX, Danny Charles Crook and wife, Tresa, Amarillo, TX, Douglas Buford Crook, Amarillo, TX; 7 grandchildren, Missy, Jeramy, Kyle, Christopher, Morgan, Shelby and Brandon; 7 great grandchildren, Dustin, Autumn, Christopher, Zachariah, Dori, Phineas, Greyson and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services will be held Satruday, July 7,2012 at 10:00 am at the Rose Chapel, Sayre, OK. Burial will be at Buffalo Cemetery Funeral Service. Condolences can be made online at www.whineryfs.com
