Florence Evans was born March 23, 1928 to Ira and Oral Sare. She passed away August 27, 2010 at Elk City, Oklahoma at the age of 82 years, 5 months and 4 days.
Florence grew up in Oklahoma and California graduating from high school in 1946.
After graduation she furthered her education at a christian college. She was married to Billy V. Evans at Cheyenne, Oklahoma on September 1, 1950. Florence and Billy moved to California for a short period before moving back to Roger Mills County where they owned and operated a dairy.
In 1979 they sold the dairy and moved to Ft. Cobb to make their home.
Florence loved to ride horses and taking care of her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband 1 son, Billy Ray Evans and 1 great granddaughter, Summer Grace Kitchko.
Survived by her 3 daughters, Helen Prince and husband, Charles, Ft. Cobb, Oklahoma; and Vickie Luttrell, Mooreland, Oklahoma; and Judy Sharry and husband, Darin, Eakley, Oklahoma; 15 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, 1 brother, Lloyd Sare, Sacramento, California; 1 sister, Vivian Perry, Eugene, Oregon; and a host of other relatives and, friends.
Graveside services will be held Monday, August 30, 2010 at 2:00 pm at Cheyenne Cemetery officiated by Tom Markham. Burial will be at Cheyenne Cemetery under the direction of Whinery-Savage Funeral Service.
