Adeen Frank Ezzell 81 of Ft. Smith, AR passed away at home Friday, October 8, 2010. He was born January 23, 1929 in Strong City, Oklahoma. He was retired from U.S. Army and AFCO metal. He worked for the Defense Intelligence Agency as an Attach Specialist, where he twice received the Joint Service Commendation Medal. One of the highest none combat medals awarded, as well as numerous other awards and Commendations. He was a member of the Greenwood Church of the Nazerene. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Ida Mae Davis Ezell, his son Gary D. Ezzell and son-in-law Harold D. Carruth.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Betty, and two daughters Doneva Carruth of Lavaca, AR and Deena Ezzell of Eagle, Colorado and one daughter-in-law, Susie Ezzell of Marshall, Virginia. He is also survived by three brothers and their wives and families. Thomas and Lorraine Ezzell of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Don and Joija Ezzell of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Bill and Lou of N. Richland Hills, Texas. He was blessed with five grandchildren, Natasha Ingram, Tony Wright, Charles Ezzell, Michael Ezell and Jeffery Ezzell and two great grandchildren Mason Ezzell Ingram, and James Ezzell, two aunts Ruby Daw and Nelda Davis, and cousins Ronald Scott, Tillie Bradshaw, Loretta Fultrs, Tom Davis, Jim Davis, Linda Jenkins and Roberta Clapp.
Services were Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at Greenwood Church of the Nazerene with full military honors burial was in Fort Smith National Cemetery.
