FARMER, Sallie Rose

Mrs. Sallie Rose Farmer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert F. Rose, was born in Archie County, Texas, December 9, 1880 and departed this life at her home near Allison, Texas, November 15, 1938 at the age of 57 years, eleven months and six days. She moved to Oklahoma with her parents when a young girl and they homesteaded on a farm near the Sandstone community. She was married to W.S.(William Simeon) Farmer, September 7, 1902 and to this union were born four children. One girl, Jewel, preceded in death several years ago. Those left to mourn her passing are her husband, W.S. Farmer, Allison, Texas, and the following children: Truman Farmer, Cheyenne; Mrs. Harlan Thomas, Granite; Mrs. Marion Thomas, Canadian, Texas. Also three step-daughters: Mrs. Beulah Rhoton and Mrs. Guy Libby, Cheyenne; Mrs. Ernest Smith, Elk City. Others are eleven grandchildren and three brothers, Nat Rose of Elk City; Frank Rose of Albuquerque, NM; Solon E. Rose of Ponca City, Oklahoma. Also a host of other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Farmer became a member of the Church of Christ when a young girl. She also had been a member of the Royal Neighbors Lodge for 35 years. Interment in the Berlin Cemetery, Berlin, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.
