Oscar Ray Flick, 84, of Hammon, Oklahoma was born on October 21, 1931 at home North of Hammon, Oklahoma. He is the son of Howard and Ola Mae (Linville) Flick. Oscar passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2016 in Hammon, Oklahoma.
Oscars pride and joy was his kids and grandkids and being involved in their lives. He enjoyed playing dominoes, riding horses, going on wagon rides. Each year he would get his wagon out and give kids wagon rides. He enjoyed watching his cow dogs work. He enjoyed going to the mountains during the summertime. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.
Oscar proudly served his country in the United States Army and received an honorable discharge.
He married his best friend and sweetheart Sue Allen on February 13, 1952 in Pie Flat Community.
Oscar was a member of Community Fellowship Church in Hammon, Oklahoma.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, April 4, 2016 at Community Fellowship in Hammon, Oklahoma. Interment will be held at Red Hill Cemetery in Hammon, Oklahoma. Services have been entrusted to the care of Martin-Dugger Funeral Home in Elk City, Oklahoma.
Oscar is survived by his wife, Sue Flick of the home; son, Alan Ray and his wife, Shelly of Hammon, Oklahoma; two daughters, Debra Ivey and her husband, Dorvan of Hammon, Oklahoma, and Kathy Megli and her husband, Richard of Hammon, Oklahoma; special nephew, Jay Flick and his wife, Cathy of Burns Flat, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren, Caleb Flick and his wife, Whitney of Hammon, Chancen Flick and his wife Mackenzie of Edmond, Oklahoma, Cole Ivey and his wife, Miriam of Hammon, Drew Ivey and his wife, Danielle of Hammon, Clay Ivey and his wife, Kim of Hammon, Jared Dirickson and his wife, Kayla of Leedey, Oklahoma, Connie VanMeter and her husband, Tyler of Hammon, Oklahoma, Kelli Espinosa and her husband, Gabino of Hammon, Oklahoma, Kyle Megli of Sayre, Oklahoma, Jase Megli and his wife, Ashley of Sweetwater, Oklahoma, Lane Hawkins of Hammon, Oklahoma; twenty-one great-grandchildren; brother, John Flick of Hammon, Oklahoma; Sister-in-law, Fern Allen of Chickasha, Oklahoma; numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Ola Mae Flick; daughter, Connie Sue Flick; great-grandchildren, Heston and Kenzie VanMeter; two brothers, Elmer Flick and Amos Flick; one sister, Mary Hibler; sister-in-law, Loy Flick and brother-in-law, Claire Hibler.
