Albert Maurice Formway was born October 19, 1934 i Swisher County, Texas to Albert Lester and Myrtie Payne Formway. He passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at the age of 79 years.
Albert was married to Doris Louise Robinson on August 8, 1959 in Fairview, Armstrong County, Texas. He was a veteran of the US Air Force serving from 1953-1957. He loved to work and was the ranch manager for the S&S Ranch near Cheyenne, Oklahoma until the tme of his death. He had been a resident of Cheyenne, Oklahoma since 1989.
Albert was saved at the age of 16 while woring on a John Deere trac tor. He was a member of the Moorewood Missionary Baptist Church in Leedey, Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Avanell Hughes.
He is survived by his wife, Doris of Cheyenne, Oklahoma, two daughters, Louise Leathers and husband Joe of Guthrie, Texas and Laconda Pflug and husaband Rick of Amarillo, Texas; a brother Jim Forway and wife Jeannie of Claredon, Texas; two sisters, Nadene Naylor and husband Joe of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Laveta Peters and husband John of Amarillo, Texas; five granddaughters, two grandsons, thirteen great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.]
Services will be held Friday, December 27, 2013 at the Moorewood Missionary Baptst Church in Leedey, Oklahoma with Joe Naylor officiating under the direction of Robertson Armstrong Chapel of Claude, Texas. Interment will follow at Claude Cemetery.
