Joe Dennis Freeman was born on October 25, 1956 in Fort Collins, Colorado, and passed away on August 30, 2010 at the age of 53 years 10 months and 15 days, with his family by his side.
Joe was raised by his parents Johnny and Ruby Freeman. He grewup in Cheyenne and attended Cheyenne Schools. He later served in the United States Navy. He made his home and was a life-long residen of Cheyenne.
Joe worked in the oilfield for thirty five years, and most recently a driller for Cactus. He enjoyed making walking sticks, knife hamdles, and authentic jewelry. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles, horses, painting, and camping. Most of all he loved spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Ruby Freeman of Cheyenne, Oklahoma.
Joe is survived by his wife, Polly Freeman of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; a son, Tony Freemand and Kelly Ward of Clinton, Oklahoma; two daughters, Misty Brooks and her husband James of Weatherford, Oklahoma; Nikole Freeman and Chris Robinson of Weatherford, Oklahoma; 5 step-sons: Luther Duncan of Lubbock, Texas; Jeremy Duncan of Lubbock, Texas; Chris Drerup and Hillary Mason of Altus, Oklahoma; Jon Drerup of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; Patrick Duncan and Ellen Cox of Altus, Oklahoma; His brother Lindsey Freeman and wife Pamela of Carney, Oklahoma; Biological siblings include: Sarah McBride, Perry Tyler; Judy Wright, Robert Reiger, Rebecca Wilson, Ken Engelhardt, Norman Fisher, Frances Fasrmer, Kimber Davis, Ivan Vanschiver, and P)amela Palentino. He had nine grandchildren- Brendi, Dreighon, Loren, Autumn, Summer, Aspen, Jacey, Caleb and Hunter. He had many nieces and nephews and a host of other reloatives and friends.
Memorial services will be held Friday, September 10, 2010, 11:00 AM at the Freeman Residence,, 201 Blaine, Cheyenne, Oklahoma.
