Gregory, Arthur Paul

Arthur Paul Gregory was born January 22, 1931 in Houston, Texas to Bessie and George Robert Gregory. He passed away October 27, 2011 at Reydon, Oklahoima at the age of 80 years, 9 months and 5 days.
Arthur grew up in the Snyder, Texas area. He attended schools near Snyder and continued his education at the Apostolic Faith Bible College in Baxter Springs, Kansas and Panhandled State University in Goodwell, Oklahoma. Arthur enlisted in the United States Army and served his country during the Korean War. After returing from Germany the family lived in Dallas until moving to Kansas where he pastored. They then moved to Boise City, Oklahoma and he pastored there and in Guymon, Oklahoma. Arthur moved to Watonga, Oklahoma in 19994 where he was the minister at the Watonga Assembley of God Church. He was married to Charlotte Rhodes at Watonga on December 22, 1998 and they remained there uhntil 1999 when they moved to Reydon, Oklahoma to make their home. Arthur’s career as an Assembly of God Pastor spanned over fifty years and he retired in 2002.
He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Deloris and son, Michael, 2 brothers, George R. “Bob” Gregory, Jr. and James Richard Gregory, and 2 stepsons, Robert and David Barton.
He is survived by his wife Charlotte, of the home; son, Jon Gregory and wife, Rhonda, Stillwater, OK; 2 sisters, Evelyn Shifflett, Snyder, TX, and Barbara Smith; 2 brothers, Elmo Gregory Kingsville, TX., and Charles Gregory, Santa Anna, TX; 2 stepdaughters, Lana Stands and husband Johnathan, Montans, Diana Keys and husband, Toby, Reydon, OK; 4 grendchildren that he helped raise, Jessica Trent, Montana Trent, Mercedes Arndt, and Hunter Jay, 14 additional grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and one on the way.
Services were held October 31, 2011 at Graveside officiated by Johnny Crawford. Burial will be at White Rose Cemetery, Reydon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service. Condolences can be made online at www.whineryfs.com
