A Chapel Service for Sherry Lynn Guzman, 56, Burns Flat, Oklahoma resident was held Friday, May 22, 2015 in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel officiated by Deacon Bill Hough. Burial will be in the Clinton Cemetery under the direction of Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.
Sherry Lynn (Leonard) Guzman was born July 11, 1958 to Foster Leonard, Jr. and Elsie May (Isch) Leonard in Cheyenne, Oklahoma and passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2015 in the Clinton Regional Hospital in Clinton, Oklahoma.
Sherry Lynn was raised in Reydon, Oklahoma and graduated from Reydon High School in 1976. She was married to Rudy Guzman on March 19, 1976 in Durham, OK. She enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1981 and after her honorable discharge, she moved to Nebraska. She continued her education and received her Licensed Practical Nursing Degree. She has been employed at the Clinton Veterans Center since 1994 and has served there for the past 24 years.
She attended the Catholic Church. She loved to cook, read, quilt and spend time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Rudolph Joey Guzman.
She is survived by her husband, Rudy, of the home; a daughter, Vickie Mackey and husband Bobby of Mustang, OK; son Tim Guzman of Edmond, OK; her parents, Foster and Elsie Leonard of Cheyenne, OK; four sisters, Jan Jones of Oklahoma City, OK, Carolyn Thompson of Norman, OK, Marilyn Hall of Garfield, KS and Ann Tidwell of Clinton, OK; and two brothers, Gary Leonard of Cheyenne, OK and Steve Leonard of Reydon, OK.
