HARREL, Annabell Titus

Annabell Titus Harrel was born March 9th, 1937, and left this life May 3rd, 2012, at the Woodward, OK hospital after a brief illness.
Ann (she HATED being called Annabell), was born prematurely at home to McKinnley Titus and Jacquelyn Franklin Dickerson in Ringwood, OK. At age four, her family moved to Booneville, AR where she lived until age 11. She then moved to Liberal, KS where she lived until her marriage at age 18.
After a brief seven day courtship, Ann was married to Loren Dean Harrel by a Justice of the Peace in Clayton, NM, on July 12, 1955. Ann was cursed to marry someone affected by wander-lust so the family moved frequently. They lived in the following Kansas towns: Liberal several times, Wichita, Elkhart, Ulysses, Queenemo, Kismet and Savenburg. In Oklahoma, they lived in Tyrone, Avards, Cleo Springs, Chester, Longdale, Watonga, Clayton, Sharobn, Sayre, Elk City, and lastly Vici. They also enjoyed a brief residence in Canon City, Co.
To their marriage, they were blessed with four biological children and one adopted daughter. Their children are Ceclia DeAnn Morford and husband, Terry of Amarillo, TX; Nalina Kathleen Clinesmith and husband, Otis of Leedey, OK; Norman Harvey Harrel and wife, Teresa of Decatur, TX; Tabitha Ann Nutter and husband, Bryan of Alva, OK; Justin Other Harrel and finance, Elaine Rio of Elk City, OK.
Ann spent her life as a home maker. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, collecting family photos and canning. When her health permitted, she kept a large garden and collected wild berries to preserve. She was well known for her cooking and canning abilities and her family was always well fed.
Ann was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness and lastly, attended the Elk City, OK Kingdom Hall. She was baptized in 1965.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Newt (Jasper) and Jimmy; half sister Dora Marie Wood.
She is survived by her husband, children, brother and half brother: Hubert Avon Titus of Liberal, KS, Bennie Titus of Ringwood, OK, and Marvin Titus of Fairview, OK; half sisters Leona Dow of Fairview, OK, and Ruthie Lubbers of Okeene, OK; multiple nieces and nephews.
Ann has 12 grandchildren with another expected in October. She also hads 17 great-grandchilden and one more due in June.
Her memorial services were held Sunday, May 13, 2012, at the Kingdom Hall of Johovah’s Witness located at 1700 W. 7th Street, Elk City, OK. Condoleces may be made to the family at shawfuneralhome.net
