Bill Harrison, 73, of Cheyenne passed away Friday morning October 21, 2011 at his home. Graveside services were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 24, 2011 at the Cheyenne Cemetery with Rev. Alberta Helton of Amarillo, Texas officiating. Services are under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service.
Bill was born November 14, 1937, to Jerry and Maudie “Meyers” Harrison the youngest of eleven children. He graduated from Reydon High School.
He married Joanne Berry on December 22, 1955 and they were blessed with 55 plus years of happiness.
Bill was a farmer, rancher, gifted Auctioneer and musician. He formed Harrison Auction Service and held sales over western Oklahoma. He sang at many funerals in the area. He was an avid hunter of all wildlife and enjoyed the outsoors to its fullest.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Eva Scheonals and Erma Hamon and brothers, Bruce, John, Walter, Jay, Roy, Elmer and Leldon.
He is survived by his wife, Joanne, his son, Michael Bryan Harrison, his daughter, Joni Sanderford, and her husband, Scott, and his precious granddaughters, Ashley and Hallie Sanderford, who were the light of his life, a sister, Veta Duron, Temple, AZ, and many other relatives and friends.
