Hindman, Jane Cochran

Jane Hindman was born May 14, 1943 in Lucedale, Mississippi to Alexander Franklin and Maggie Estelle (Howell) Cochran. She passed away June 27, 2011 at her home in Durham, Oklahoma at the age of 68 years, 1 months and 13 days.
Jane attended several schools until the 6th grade when she moved to Lovington, New Mexico and where she graduated in 1960. She was married to Bobby Jack Hindman on December 24, 1966 in Eunice, New Mexico and Jane spent her life making a home for her new family. In 1971, Bob and Jane moved their family to Crawford, Oklahoma and a year later to near Durham, Oklahoma where they made their new home together. Jane ran the Durham Grocery Store for 5 years and drove a school bus. After the store sold, the family moved to the farm. Jane worked for the Reydon School where she managed the Cafeteria and drove a bus for 30years. She will always be remembered for her love of the kids and the meals and care she provided them. Jane was very active in the community where she was a member of the Eastern Star, serving as Worthy Marton for 5 years and she remained a member until she passed away. Jane and Bob were deep0ly involved in the Roger Mills EMS for about 15 years. They loved to tour the states on their motorcycle and really became the best of friends and well as spouses. They belonged to the Good Times Motorcycle Club where bob served as President for several years. The club’s goal was to help The Make-A-Wish Foundation for Western Oklahoma. The club also made many private donations to children in the area. Jane loved the Lord and her family never waivered. Her wish was always that her children would acquire just a small amount of her faith. Jane retired in May 2008 and a short 2 years later survived breast cancer but the Lord was with her always. Jane deeply loved her home, her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a granddazughter, Audrey Trevino, and 2 brothers, Hilton and Alec Cochran.
She is survived by her children, Bobby Hindman, Durham, Oklahoma, Anne Trevino, Elk City, Oklahoma, Jack Hindman and wife, Brenda, Durham, Oklahoma, Gina Cheaney and husband, Jay, Weatherford, Oklahoma, Mark Hindman, Elk City, Oklahoma; 9 grandchildren, Damon Trevino, Summer, Sarah, and Sabrina Baker, Brandon and Amy Hindman and Tisha Brecheen, 8 great grandchildren, 3 brothersz, Russell Cochran, Soloman, Kansas, Larry Cochran, Hilmer, TX, Hollis Cochran, Crescent, Oklahoma and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services will be held Thursday, June 30, 2011 at 10:00 am at Durham Community Building officiateds by Darryl Moore. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service. Condolences can be made online at www.whineryfs.com
