Graveside Memorial Services for Donald Johnson will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at Fairlawn Cemetery, Pastor Roger Woodson will officiate. Services have been entrusted to the care of Martin-Dugger Funeral Home in Elk City.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in care of Martin-Dugger Funeral Home, 600 West Country Club Blvd., Elk City, OK 73644.
Donald Hubert Johnson, 83 of Canute was born on February 24, 1932 in Sayre to Hubert Kenneth and Tina Mae (Abernathy) Johnson. Donald was surrounded by his loving family as he went to be with his Heavenly Father on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at Angelwood Assisted Living Center in Clinton.
Donald graduated from Berlin High School in 1950. He worked for United Airlines as a mechanic for over twenty-five years before his retirement.
Donald married his best friend Jean Kamphaus on April 10, 1993 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Donald proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.
Donald is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Jean of twenty two years, two daughters, Diana Hazlett of Plattwood, Missouri and Brandy Wilson of Canute; three grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and two sisters, Margaret Buckley of Oklahoma City and Anna Mae Campbell of Sayre.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
