At an early age Marie moved with her parents to the San Diego, California area where she spent her childhood and attended school. She was married to Adolph Manuel LeGrand, Sr. at San Diego, California on March 23, 1962. They remained in California for a few years before moving to Anchorage, Alaska for two years and then back to the San Diego area. In the early 70’s they moved to Elk City, Oklahoma to make their home. Adolph and Marie continued to raise their family in the Elk City community while working for Donko Trucking. Marie cherished raising her children and spending time with her grandchildren and other family and friends. Marie also enjoyed caring for her dog “Little Bit”.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three children, Tommy Estrada, Johnny Estrada and Darrell Whitt; infant great grandson, Darrell Duane Whitt, III and one brother, Robert Moorhead.
She is survived by her two children, Adolph LeGrand, Jr., Elk City, OK and Angel LeGrand Nance and husband Garry, Elk City, OK; 9 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren; two brothers, Eddie Moorhead and Vernon Moorhead and a host of other relatives and friends.
