LINVILLE, Lois Wanda

Lois Wanda Linville, 87, of Hammon, Oklahoma was born on April 30, 1928 in Carpenter, Oklahoma. She is the fourth child, the third of six daughters and two sons of Clell Wynn and Ella Eva Clifft, two of whom, Hugh F. Wynn of Houston, Texas and Margaret Lee Nelson of Sunray, Texas survive her. Lois passed from this life on March 20, 2016 at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Lois graduated from Hammon High School in 1946. Lois married Milton Glenn Gearreald, the father of her children, in October 1947. Glenn preceded her in death on November 30, 1976. Lois later married Elmer Owen Linville who preceded her in death on December 13, 2005. Elmer had three children, Carolyn, Susie and Lana by a previous marriage. While married to Elmer, the couple traveled to and lived in places like Ravenna, Italy and Singapore, but they never forgot their roots. When Elmer retired they returned to a farm in Roger Mills County and built a home. She was a devoted member of the Church of Christ in Hammon, Oklahoma and a long time caretaker of her family, friends and neighbors as a LPN nurse at Cheyenne and Elk City medical centers. An indication of her caring nature was Lois’s original membership in Leedey’s newly formed EMT team.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at the Church of Christ, 1003 Sisson Street in Hammon, Oklahoma. Tom Harguess will officiate and Tim Caillouette will assist. Interment will be at Red Hill Cemetery in Hammon, Oklahoma. Services have been entrusted to the care of Martin-Dugger Funeral Home in Elk City, Oklahoma.
Lois is survived by two children, Mark Alan Gearreald of Elk City, Oklahoma and Jamie Lee Caillouette and her husband, Timothy Charles of Owasso, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Cody Don Harrel and his wife, Robin of Leedey, Oklahoma; Joshua Glenn Harrel and his wife, Annie of Owasso, Oklahoma; Ranson Ty Gearreald and his wife, Heather of Mustang, Oklahoma and Micha Shane Gearreald of Elk City, Oklahoma; nine great-grandchildren, Lillian Dolores, Cooper Glenn, Roby Ann and Sadie Kaye, all children of Josh and Annie; Maddie Gayle and Ellie Michelle, both children of Cody and Robin and Taylor Renee, Mya Elaine and Nolan Mark, children of Ty and Heather. Lois treasured her time with her grandchildren, family and friends….and with Rover. Siblings preceding Lois in death are Laura Jo Ross of Sayre, Oklahoma; Wilma June Defibaugh of Tuttle, Oklahoma; Wayne Preston Wynn of Hammon, Oklahoma; Doris Fern Duke of Reydon, Oklahoma and Wynnona Jean Paz of Moore, Oklahoma.
