LIPPENCOTT, Pauline Vay

Pauline Vay Lippencott was born February 18, 1927 in Durham, Oklahoma to Betty and Henry Porter, Sr. She passed away August 16, 2015 at her home in Cheyenne, Oklahoma at the age of 88 years, 5 months and 28 days.
Pauline grew up on the farm northwest of Durham that her grandfather homesteaded. She attended and graduated from Durham High School in 1945. After graduation she attended business college in Oklahoma City and was crowned the C&A Old Settlers Queen in April of 1947. Pauline was married to Bud Lippencott in Cheyenne, Oklahoma on August 3, 1947 and to this union one son, Steve, was born in 1953. They lived on the farm at Pie Flat and continued to farm and ranch for the next forty years. After their retirement in 1987, they moved to Cheyenne, Oklahoma to make their home. Pauline took great pride in caring for her family especially her husband, Bud. She also enjoyed bird watching, caring for her animals and striving to make her home an inviting and welcoming place for family and friends. She was also a member of the Cheyenne First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by parents, husband, sister, Mary Fielding and one brother, J.L. Porter.
She is survived by her son, Steve Lippencott and wife, Debra, Cheyenne, OK; four grandchildren, Rebecca Leonard and husband, Steve, Reydon, OK; Coby Lippencott and wife, Sarah, Mustang, OK; John Lippencott and wife, Jaime, Cheyenne, Oklahoma and Clinton Lippencott and wife, Marlena, Cheyenne, OK; seven great grandchildren, Braygan Lippencott, Lockland Lippencott, Emersyn Lippencott, Ashton Cockrell, Saylor Leonard, London Lippencott and Everett Lippencott; her brother, Henry Porter, Jr. and wife, Lucille, Durham, OK; nieces and nephews, Sharon Charlton, Linda Harbison and husband Dan, Rick Lippencott and wife, Cindy; Scott Porter and wife, Jenni, Pegg Tierney and husband, Kieran, Terry Fielding and wife, Tasi, Jan Bailey and husband, Lynn and Donna Horton and husband, Sam and host of other friends.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the caregivers that provided exceptional care for Pauline for the past 2 1/2 years. Dianna Conway, Leslie Conway, Linda McDaniel, Fay Blackman and Lillie Poindexter.
The family suggests memorial donations be made to the Historic Roger Mills Preservation Foundation, Box 34, Cheyenne, OK 73628
Funeral services will be held at the Cheyenne First Baptist Church on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. with interment at the Cheyenne Cemetery.
