We are sorry to chronicle the death of Mrs. W.P. Madden, one of the most dearly beloved Christian ladies of our town. But one and all must fall before the touch of terror and meet on one common level. Mrs. Madden was taken to Colorado Springs about two months ago for an operation. It was thought for a while that she would recover and be back home in a short time, but last week news came of her critical condition and that she was not expected to live. Death came at 10:45 last night at Colorado Springs. The sad news was wired immediately to her children who live here. She leaves a husband and three children to mourn her loss, two of whom, Mrs. E.L. Mitchell and Perry Madden, live at this place and another son, Hoge Madden, who lives at Roll, Oklahoma. We extend to all our heartfelt sympathy. The remains will be shipped to this place for interment, which will take place Sunday. Burial in the Cheyenne Cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma. Aranette (Marrs) Madden was born in 1854 and died in 1912.
